We’re looking for a data engineer to design and build data pipelines, models, and prepare data sources for visualization tools like Tableau at our Tallinn office. In this role, you will collaborate with our data engineering team using cutting-edge technologies (Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow) to understand business questions and provide analytical solutions. Our platform runs on AWS, processing dozens of terabytes of data daily with scalable distributed clusters. Your new adventure:

1. Design, implement, document, and visualize reusable analytical models.
2. Develop and deploy data solutions, monitor for errors and performance issues, and troubleshoot code and data defects.
3. Identify needs and analyze requirements from internal stakeholders.
4. Assist internal users in utilizing the Data Warehouse efficiently.
5. Follow and improve ETL development processes and team best practices, promoting continuous improvement.
6. Lead system design and architecture initiatives within the team.
7. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
8. Onboard new team members.
9. Be on-call to respond to alerts and resolve production incidents.

Does this sound like you?

1. At least 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in Python.
2. Hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines.
3. Experience with distributed data processing systems (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Flink).
4. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
5. Proficiency with SQL and data modeling.
6. Knowledge of modern data stack tools and industry trends.
7. Excellent communication and writing skills.
8. Experience with agile methodologies.
9. BSc or MSc in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or relevant experience.
