Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a skilled QA/Automation Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on Agile development, Jira workflows, and building robust test automation across multiple layers of the tech stack.

Strong SQL proficiency and Python programming are required, with hands‑on experience in BI/ETL testing, REST testing, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker and SonarQube. Hybrid work options from Merrimack NH / Jersey City NJ / Westlake TX.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and Jira.
  • Testing distributed applications across multiple layers of the technology stack.
  • Hands‑on experience in Test Management lifecycle.
  • Strong SQL skills with Oracle, DB2 or Postgres; PL/SQL and complex queries.
  • Experience validating BI reports and ETL/ELT workloads.
  • Strong experience in test automation design and execution using RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG.
  • Strong programming experience in Python.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD with GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement test strategies and automation suites for new products/applications.
  • Validate BI reports and ETL/ELT workloads as part of release readiness.
  • Design, develop and execute cross‑layer test automation across environments.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality software.

Job Location - Merrimack NH / Jersey City NJ / Westlake TX (Day One Onsite - Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities
  • Experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool
  • Experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack
  • Hand‑on experience in Test Management lifecycle
  • Strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or DB2 or Postgres and experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc
  • Experience in validating the BI Reports and ETL/ELT work loads
  • Strong experience in Test automation design, development and execution using frameworks eg. RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG.
  • Strong proven experience in programming - Python.
  • Strong SQL skills are required.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment - GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, etc.
  • The candidate should have experience in designing test strategy, test automation suites independently for a new product/application

Salary & Compensation
