Job summary

Swoon in McLean, VA is seeking a Data Engineer to join a financial services organization on a 13-month contract. You will build Python-based data pipelines on an AWS-native platform that ingests data from source systems into a third-party application.

Responsibilities include validating, transforming, and publishing data with Lambda, Kinesis, S3, Glue, and CDK; plus testing, CI/CD, and security practices to protect sensitive financial information.

I’m working with a large financial services organization looking to add a Data Engineer to their team in McLean, VA.

Location: McLean, VA

Pay: $65/hr W2

Duration: 11/2/2026 - 12/3/2027

Interview: One 1-hour Zoom interview

This engineer will work on a Python-based, AWS-native data ingestion platform responsible for moving financial data from source systems into a third-party application.
