Job summary

Sharp Decisions is seeking a Data Engineer with strong Azure cloud experience to design and implement data pipelines, APIs, and analytics solutions. The role emphasizes Azure Databricks, SQL proficiency, and API development using Python frameworks such as FastAPI.

The ideal candidate will work within financial services contexts, leveraging ETL/ELT best practices and modern DevOps practices to deliver scalable data systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with Azure cloud.
• Experience implementing solutions using API Gateway management.
• Well versed with Azure Databricks.
• Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with developing APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks in Python.
• Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle (Git, Jenkins, etc.) and CI/CD processes.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience in financial services industry, financial instruments, asset classes, and market data are a plus.
