Job summary

RSC Solutions seeks a data engineer for a hybrid role within the Data Strategy team, spanning Capital Markets and Nikko securities. You will help develop a reference data platform for securities and pricing data on Azure, coordinating with Americas broker-dealer and swap-dealer units to align with internal standards.

The role requires strong Python/PySpark, Azure, and API development skills, plus DevOps experience and familiarity with ETL/ELT processes in finance data environments.

Qualifications

• Full stack Python/PySpark development experience.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with Azure cloud.
• Experience implementing Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Lake Gen 2, Databases, Data Fabric).
• API development with Python (FastAPI or similar).
• DevOps familiarity (Git, Jenkins) and CI/CD processes.
• Strong SQL skills with RDMS or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience in financial services data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on building a data platform within Client's Azure cloud.
• Establish reference data systems for securities and pricing data.
• Work with Capital Markets and Nikko teams across the Americas business lines.
• Ensure adherence to internal data standards within the Data Strategy program.

Hybrid role

Role Objectives

• These roles will be part of the Data Strategy team spanning across the Client's Capital Markets and Nikko securities teams, Client's Americas Division's broker-dealer and swap-dealer entities.
• These roles will be involved in the active development of the data platform in close coordination with the Client's team, beginning with the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data, and later moving to other data domains.
• The consulting team will need to follow internal developments standards to contribute to the overall agenda of the Data Strategy team.
• The implementation of this strategic platform on Client's Azure Cloud Platform will require solutions and know-how as listed in the qualifications below.

Qualifications and Skills
