Inuvo is seeking a Data Engineer with expertise in the AWS ecosystem to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that support real-time analytics and machine learning workflows. This role involves working with a variety of third-party and internal data sources to enhance our media buying technologies. Salary range for this position: 100-140k.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines in AWS.
• Modernize and migrate legacy pipelines for improved reliability and performance.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to optimize ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to support AI-driven initiatives.
• Optimize data workflows for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• 1+ years of Java development for data-intensive applications.
• 1+ years of experience with batch & streaming data processing like Apache Spark.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, EMR).
• Proficiency in Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and automation.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and Hadoop is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Startup experience is a plus.
• This is a local position in San Jose, CA. Must be able to work a hybrid in the office and remotely each week.
• US work authorization.
