Job summary

Pabst Brewing Company seeks aData Engineer to join the Data Systems team and build a modern data foundation powering reporting, analytics, and AI-driven insights across the company. You’ll design cloud-native platforms using Microsoft’s modern data ecosystem, modernizing legacy systems and collaborating across teams to turn ideas into action.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience in IT environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Hands-on Azure and Fabric data platform experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize database objects within Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure tools.
• Modernize SSIS solutions and migrate to cloud-native Azure/Fabric.
• Partner with teams to develop scalable data warehouse and lakehouse solutions.
• Integrate data from internal and external systems via APIs, FTP/SFTP, and cloud ingestion.
• Monitor production pipelines for reliability, performance, and data quality.
• Contribute to governance, security, and scalability best practices.
• Support analytics environment enabling reporting, analytics, and AI-driven insights.

What You'll Do

In this role, you’ll help shape and support the data systems that power smarter decisions across Pabst.

• Design, develop, and optimize database objects including tables, views, and stored procedures within Microsoft Fabric
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Pipelines, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
• Modernize and migrate legacy SSIS solutions into cloud-native Azure and Fabric environments
• Partner with engineers, analysts, and business teams to develop scalable data warehouse and lakehouse solutions
• Integrate data from internal and third-party systems using APIs, FTP/SFTP, and cloud ingestion patterns
• Monitor and support production data pipelines to ensure reliability, performance, and data quality
• Contribute to data architecture best practices around governance, security, scalability, and optimization
• Help support a modern analytics environment that enables enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and AI-driven insights

What You’ll Bring

• 3-5+ years of overall IT experience, including 3+ years focused on data engineering
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, views, and SSIS
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL, and Logic Apps
• Familiarity with Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) data modeling approaches
• Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard development preferred
• Exposure to data science workflows, machine learning, or AI deployments is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
