Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer in Dallas, onsite only, to help build and optimize enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory. The role focuses on data engineering, architecture, API integrations, and modern cloud technologies, with a strong emphasis on ETL/ELT pipelines and data governance.

You will develop API-based ingestion solutions in Python, design Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures, and partner with business stakeholders in a 50/50

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory and cloud data engineering.
• Design and implement API-based data ingestion pipelines and integrations.
• Strong Python and SQL development skills with data governance awareness.
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders 50% technical, 50% business.

Cloud Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric OR Azure Data Factory) | Full-Time

Location: 100% Onsite In Dallas, TX

Type: Full-Time Direct Hire (Permanent Opportunity)

Interview Process: 2 Rounds (1 virtual, 2nd onsite)

Compensation: $130,000- $145,000 Base Salary + Benefits

About the Opportunity

Our client is building the next generation of its enterprise data platform and is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to help drive that transformation. This is a highly visible role focused on data engineering, architecture, API integrations, and modern cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and support scalable ETL/ELT pipelines

• Develop API-based ingestion solutions using Python

• Work with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Data Factory

• Design and optimize Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures

• Ensure data quality, governance, and performance

• Partner with stakeholders to deliver enterprise data solutions

Must Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Data Factory

• Hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting API-based data ingestion solutions involving REST APIs, JSON payloads, authentication, pagination, rate limiting, error handling, and ingestion orchestration

• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions (role will be 50% technical/50% stakeholder engagement)

• Understanding of data architecture, data quality, and governance best practices

• Experience developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments

• Strong Python and SQL development skills

• Azure cloud experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
