Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Data Engineer for a fully remote role in the United States. This is a permanent position with a publicly traded healthcare technology firm focused on value-based care and data analytics.

You will design and maintain data pipelines, collaborate with data scientists and BI teams, and use cloud platforms to deliver scalable data solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS or related field required.
• 5+ years as Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL and SDLC.
• Experience with Databricks, Tableau, PowerBI and Excel.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to support our rapidly growing and dynamic environment.
2. Use a variety of languages and tools to marry systems together and integrate data from various data sources.
3. Ensure the performance, reliability, and efficiency of databases.
4. Collaborate with data scientists, BI analysts, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to understand data needs.
5. Develop and implement data standards, ensuring data quality and consistency.
6. Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to optimize data delivery.
7. Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
8. Leverage your experience in the healthcare sector to inform data strategies and solutions.
9. Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members to assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
10. Use your advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, and Tableau to create insightful dashboards and reports.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role or related position.
3. Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, and SDLC.
4. Experience with Databricks, Tableau, PowerBI, and Excel.
5. Strong knowledge of AWS, GCP, and Azure.
6. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
7. Expertise in relational database theory, database design, and SQL.
8. Proven ability to solve complex problems with a keen eye for detail.
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
10. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead teams to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
