Crain Communications is seeking a meticulous and analytical data editor to oversee the strategy and execution of our lists and data offerings across our regional business publications: Crain’s Chicago Business, Crain’s Cleveland Business, Crain’s Detroit Business, Crain’s Grand Rapids Business and Crain’s New York Business. This role will be critical in transforming our comprehensive databases, as well as our signature lists – such as the area's largest privately held businesses and fastest-growing companies – into premium digital offerings.
As a data editor, you will report to the director of audience engagement, working closely to develop and implement best practices in data collection, digital publishing and audience engagement strategies. You will manage a small team of researchers while also contributing directly through your own research.

This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Pay Transparency Disclosure:
The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000. The final salary offering will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap. In addition to base salary, Crain also offers competitive benefits including retirement plan savings contributions and bonus opportunities based on individual and company performance.
