The editorial team at TheGamer is looking for aWeekendNews Editorto edit and contribute dynamic news articles to our website.

TheGamer is looking for a candidate with extensive familiarity and knowledge about multiple video game genres as well as the gaming industry as a whole. The ideal candidate should both play and follow the news surrounding existing and upcoming video games as well as be available on weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities:

• Open availability throughout the week, with specific focus on weekend availability and weekend coverage
• Expanding news coverage of specific games or subjects
• Editing approximately 80 articles per week, and contributing articles with careful attention paid to the best SEO practices
• Paying high attention to detail for spelling, grammar, image quality, fact-checking and sourcing
• Working under tight deadlines and submitting tasks on time
• Providing feedback to continually improve our writers’ abilities
