Total Wine & More in Bethesda, MD is seeking an Associate Buyer to join its Merchandising team. The role supports the Wine buying group to drive sales and margin targets while managing critical processes and data with precision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of retail buying, planning, allocation, merchandising operations, or supply chain experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLookup, XLOOKUP).
• Basic understanding of SQL queries to extrapolate data.
• Comfort handling high-volume, detail-critical data.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end new item process from setup to in-store execution.
• Maintain item master data including vintage rollovers and cost changes.
• Write and place stock requests within allocation constraints.
• Build and maintain reports on assortment, inventory, replenishment, and supplier performance.
• Partner with suppliers and Compliance on label registration and state requirements.
• Organize and manage concierge processes and coordination.
• Support sampling logistics, pricing setup, and item projections.
• Collaborate across teams to keep stakeholders aligned.
