Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Water Systems Technician to maintain and operate advanced horticultural water and climate control equipment in a greenhouse environment. The role emphasizes data-driven monitoring, preventive maintenance, and alarm management to ensure optimal plant growth.

The candidate should have 2 years of related experience, basic electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read schematics and use measuring tools. Physical work with plants and equipment is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum work experience in related field.
• Plumbing experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Basic electrical diagnostics using a voltmeter and electrical schematics to troubleshoot problems.
• Ability to read/interpret schematics (electrical and plumbing) and use a voltmeter, hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Support managing system alarms related to water tech and climate control systems.
• Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on irrigation, sensors, dosing units, and lighting equipment.
• Inspect and calibrate pH and EC sensors; monitor fertilizer levels in irrigation tanks.
• Repair leaks and issues in irrigation lines and PVC water systems; replace crop lighting as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support alarm management and system stability.
• Maintain safe work practices in line with GM and HACCP guidelines and ensure product safety.
