Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize warehouse operations in Houston, TX. You will map processes, develop time studies, track KPIs, and collaborate on data-driven bids.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering and 1 year of engineering experience, plus proficiency with Tableau/Power BI/Data Studio and strong communication skills. Travel up to 25% and process documentation expertise are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of engineering experience.
• Experience with analytical tools (flow charts, Pareto charts, cause-and-effect diagrams, run charts).
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt designation a plus.
• Travel up to 25% available.
• Experience with BI software Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio, etc.

Responsibilities

• Identify facility design requirements based on activity levels, product dimensions, flow and transportation methods.
• Develop production time studies, headcount analyses, downtime analyses, efficiency plans; warehouse slotting and SKU velocity analyses.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve flow; analyze inbound, outbound and inventory operations.
• Perform value stream mapping, process improvements and standardization across sites.
• Assist pricing and solutions teams with operational cost data for RFPs.
• Track KPIs and develop basic analytics for operational metrics.
• Work with vendors on operational equipment and automation solutions.
• Develop and manage project plans for major operational improvements.
• Support Maintenance with spare parts lists and min/max tracker.
• Daily P&L tracking for Finance.
• Convert documents to ISO-compliant SOPs and submit to QMS.
