Job summary

The State of Connecticut Department of Correction (DOC) seeks a Research Analyst to join the Strategic Planning and Implementation Unit. The role supports data‑driven decision making across divisions, using SAS and other tools to access and manage primary data, perform data cleaning and write programs.

Training and proficiency development are expected as the team handles audits, ad hoc reports, routine reports and standard dashboards in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of professional experience in research, data analysis or economics.
• Knowledge of research methods and statistics
• Ability to prepare narratives and statistical reports

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements formal research projects.
• Analyzes, interprets and prepares data in multiple formats.
• Prepares narrative and statistical reports.
