Job summary

Wisconsin Counties Association is seeking a Public Health Strategist to advance population health outcomes through data-driven planning, collaboration, and implementation of health initiatives within Door County and the public health division. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, coalition facilitation, and strategic communication to diverse audiences.

The position supports CHA/CHIP efforts, program evaluation, and stakeholder education while fostering partnerships across agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in community health education, public health, epidemiology, environmental health, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must obtain IC-100, IC-200, and IC-700 within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in CHA and CHIP development and implementation.
• Collects and analyzes population health data to inform strategies.
• Translate health data findings for diverse audiences.
• Lead coalitions and educate partners on evidence-based practices.
• Support community health initiatives and measure outcomes.
• Identify funding opportunities and grant applications.
• Participate in public health emergency response where needed.
• Mentor staff and promote health equity across programs.
