Job summary

YipitData seeks a Product Development Associate to join its New Product Development team. You will evaluate third-party datasets, support new product opportunities, and identify datasets that create value for clients and the business.

You'll collaborate with engineering, partnerships, and business stakeholders to drive projects from idea through evaluation and recommendation, with substantial autonomy and support.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, data science, alternative data, or related field.
• Strong SQL and/or PySpark skills and experience with large datasets.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and insights.
• Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and build upon third-party datasets to assess quality, value, and use cases.
• Define questions, success metrics, and analytical frameworks for open-ended projects.
• Conduct quantitative analyses and translate findings into recommendations.
• Support development of new products, datasets, and data-driven initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, partnerships, and business teams to drive projects.
