Job summary
Novolex is seeking a Process Engineer to troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes across our plastics operations, focusing on reducing variation, improving product quality, and boosting overall plant performance. You will lead process control initiatives and support continuous improvement across the site.
The role requires a BS in Engineering with plastics focus or substantial plastics process experience, strong SPC/DOE knowledge, and prior supervisory experience.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering, plastics/materials preferred or 5+ years in extrusion/thermoforming.
- Strong knowledge of sheet extrusion and inline thermoforming.
- Experience with SPC, DOE and quality systems.
- 5-10 years of participation or leadership in focused improvement teams.
- Supervisory experience and ability to coach across levels.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes on the production floor.
- Lead process control initiatives and analyze data to drive improvements.
- Support safety and compliance with company standards.
- Develop training materials and mentor staff on process integrity and best practices.
