Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc. in Dalton, GA is seeking a Process Engineer to provide direction and support to shift and day Process Technicians. The role focuses on continuous improvement to enhance plant operations, the achievement of OE/JE goals, and safety and quality.

It also stabilizes production processes and supports defect reduction with cross-functional teams. The position reports to the Process General Manager and adheres to company safety and process documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field is required.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical approach.
• Proven technical acumen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement methods for sampling, inspection, testing and evaluation of products.
• Initiates process improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and defect analysis.
• Execute all required duties while practicing safe work methods and adhering to all plant safety rules.
• Be the driver in investigating, proposing, procuring and launching new process and operations improvements with metrics and audits.
• Assist development of technical training plan for process engineering and continuous improvement methodology (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
• Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and operations personnel for line use and train them in the plant.
• Actively participate with the EHS team to lead projects that improve worker safety and minimize incident risk.
