Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a senior analytics professional to transform medical cost data into actionable insights. You will leverage SAS, SQL and BI tools to quantify program value, track outcomes, and highlight opportunities.

You will present findings to executive partners, collaborate across departments, and build dashboards in Tableau or Power BI to support strategic decision making. Prior healthcare payer experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health, Economics, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences or other related area.
• Master's Degree in Business, Health, Economics, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences or other related area.
• 5 years of Medical Economics, Healthcare Analytics, Informatics and/or Actuarial Services in the health care payer sector.
• Strong coding background (R, R Shiny, Python, SQL, etc.). Experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or R Shiny.
• Strong Technical Data Skills (SAS / SQL, R, Tableau, Excel, etc.)
• Experience in the healthcare Industry, with solid knowledge of emerging trends and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop medical cost analytics to identify value of business solutions.
• Track program outcomes and project savings opportunities.
• Present analytics and insights to key business partners with clear, concise storytelling.
• Create dashboards and reports using SAS, SQL, R Shiny, Tableau or Power BI.
• Collaborate with matrix partners to drive data-driven decisions in health economics.
