Job summary

GreenGas USA is seeking a data-driven Trucking Logistics Engineer to design and optimize regional and national freight networks. You will evaluate lane profitability, identify cost-saving opportunities, and use TMS tooling to build predictive routing models for better asset utilization and on-time performance.

Work with fleet operations, safety, and dispatch to develop dashboards in Tableau or Power BI and apply Lean Six Sigma to reduce waste.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative field or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of transportation engineering, fleet logistics, or freight network analytics.
  • Hazmat certification and/or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Network Optimization: Design and implement models to evaluate lane profitability and multi-stop routes.
  • Freight Data Analytics: Extract, clean, and interpret large freight datasets using SQL, Python, or Excel to identify bottlenecks and fuel inefficiencies.
  • Dashboard Development: Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau or Power BI to visualize cost-per-mile, empty miles, and driver utilization.
  • Capacity Planning: Forecast seasonal freight volumes and align assets with regional demand fluctuations.
  • Technology Integration: Administer the corporate Transportation Management System (TMS) and telematics hardware.
  • Process Improvement: Apply Lean Six Sigma to reduce waste in terminal operations and cross-docking workflows.
  • Vendor & Carrier Management: Collaborate with 3PLs and owner-operators to negotiate rates and scale capacity.
