Job summary

Mead School District is seeking an Elementary Teacher for the Mead Learning Options/DartLo Campus in Spokane, WA. The position is a 1.0 FTE certificated vacancy for the 2026/2027 school year, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with immediate starting date.

The teacher will plan, develop, and deliver curriculum aligned with state standards, assess students, and maintain accurate records while fostering a safe and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Washington State teaching certificate required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Provide for large and small group and individualized instruction.
• Establish and communicate clear learning objectives.
• Provide diverse learning materials and monitor student progress.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on work.
• Continuously assess and adapt lessons to meet student needs.
• Provide opportunities for student self-reflection and goal tracking.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and compliance with records regulations.
• Create a safe, positive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behavior according to school/district policies.
• Collaborate with grade level/course teams to improve student learning.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders in a timely, professional manner.
