Job summary

Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati/Dayton seeks a 6-12th Grade English Language Arts Instruction Coach to strengthen classroom practice and student outcomes. You will design engaging curriculum, analyze data with teachers, and model effective instructional routines that prepare students for college and career.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree and a valid Ohio teaching certificate (or in process) are required, with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including STRS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Valid OH teaching certificate/license or actively pursuing one in the applicable subject area.

Responsibilities

• Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians and coworkers.
• Design and effectively deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction reflecting observations and goals of individual children.
• Coach a classroom culture of high expectations that includes college preparation for all students.
• Work with the faculty and school leadership to frequently examine student data for ongoing refinement of instruction and assessment.
• Share best practices with other teachers and collaborate with them to improve instructional and assessment practices.
• Interact frequently and respectfully with students/staff.
