Job summary

SMUD's Economic Development & Partnerships team offers a College Internship Program in Sacramento. The internship focuses on growth of outreach participation, data tracking and reporting, and administrative support.

You will assist with emails, calls, data management, and monthly/quarterly reporting, while gaining hands-on experience in economic development initiatives. The role emphasizes flexibility, dependability, and strong communication, with exposure to event logistics and candidate

Qualifications

Must be a registered full-time student (12 units minimum) at a recognized college or university.
Coursework in inclusive economic development, public relations or marketing is desirable.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required.
Experience with Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and MS Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with outreach campaigns via email, phone and other channels to promote participation and generate leads.
Support data collection, organization and tracking of outreach and engagement metrics.
Maintain and update participant and outreach contact lists with data accuracy.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on outreach activities and program progress.
Support event and workshop logistics and on-site engagement.
Perform general program support tasks and data management under supervision.
