Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Analyst / Engineer to join our Houston team. The role requires strong data analysis, data modeling, and dashboarding capabilities to support energy and natural resources projects.

You will develop and maintain data models, perform benchmarking and forecasting, and ensure data quality across cost management processes. Expect collaboration with internal stakeholders and mentoring of junior analysts in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, CS, engineering or related field.
10+ years as a Data Analyst, preferably in construction or engineering.
Expertise in data analysis and visualization tools, with proficiency in programming languages.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex data sets.
Excellent verbal and written communication to stakeholders.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Experience with cost and contract management software.
Certification in data analysis or related fields.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal teams to gather, process, and analyze data from various sources.
Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to present insights in Power BI.
Perform benchmarking, trend identification, and forecasting.
Analyze project cost trends and identify process improvements using software tools.
Create statistical models to predict outcomes and optimize processes.
Ensure data quality and governance practices and train end-users on tools.
Develop exception reporting and maintain a comprehensive FAQ for chatbot tooling.
Mentor junior data analysts and support SOX controls where applicable.
