Dunham's Sports is seeking a Buyer’s Assistant at our Troy, MI corporate office. This full-time, hourly role supports planning, purchasing, controlling, and merchandising of assigned lines to maximize sales, profits, and market share for the company.

You will input data for POs, manage SKU creation, monitor on-hand/in-transit merchandise, assist with Markdowns and transfers, and work with vendors to ensure timely delivery. Strong computer skills and retail math understanding are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience in a buying office or high-volume retail environment is helpful.
• Advanced computer skills: Word, Excel, MS Outlook.
• Understanding of retail math.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels and with vendor partners.
• Strong multitasking.
• Ability to take fast-paced direction.
• Analytical and creative thinker.

Responsabilidades

• Input data for purchase orders
• SKU creation and maintenance, and Auto Replenishment set up
• Track on-hand and in-transit merchandise as it relates to ads
• Assist with Markdowns, transfers, and vendor returns
• Work with vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise
• General office organization, filing, and administrative functions
• Manage Re-order inquiries and follow up
• Stock and sales analysis by store, class, and vendor
• Setting up purchase order and analysis spreadsheets
• Assist with open-to-buy reports
• Support management with data and analysis, including monitoring sales, tracking orders, reviewing sales-to-stock ratio, and analyzing trends
• Work in tandem with a buyer to manage the vendor performance to achieve all financial goals
• Relief for receptionist
