Job summary

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. seeks a Business Performance Analyst to extract CDK data and develop reports that support inventory management across branches. You’ll work with Finance, IT, and operations to turn data into actionable insights for profits and efficiency.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, detailed analysis, and clear communication of findings to leaders at multiple levels. A strong analytics background and proficiency with BI tools are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; data analytics focus preferred.
• 2+ years in business/financial/operational analysis or related field.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, pivots, data validation and modeling.
• Experience with reporting tools, BI platforms, ERP or dealer management reporting.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into business actions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, opportunities, and risks across branches and business lines.
• Develop, maintain, and improve recurring reports, dashboards, and BI tools using CDK, Power BI, Targit, Excel, or similar platforms.
• Prepare margin, expense, revenue trends, KPI, and operating data analyses for monthly/quarterly reviews.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, IT, and leaders to translate requirements into reporting solutions.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and performance measurement for various units.
• Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Validate data accuracy and reconcile outputs to source systems; document logic.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses for leadership across customer, inventory, rental, service, and margin metrics.
• Support system implementation, integration, testing, and reporting as needs evolve.
• Communicate findings clearly through written summaries and stakeholder presentations.
