Job summary

ADP, Inc. in West Seneca, NY is seeking a Business Intelligence & Data Solutions Specialist to develop and maintain reporting and analytical solutions using SQL Server, Power BI, SSRS, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical training in information systems, data analytics, computer science, business analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, data models, and analytics using Power BI.
• Experience with SSRS, SSAS, OLAP, or related Microsoft reporting technologies is beneficial.
• Strong Excel skills for business analysis and reporting.
• Experience transforming transactional data into structured datasets for reporting and analytics.
• Understanding of relational database design, data warehousing, and BI concepts.
• Experience developing DAX measures and queries in Power BI.
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Strong communication and coaching skills to work with users and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical tools using Power BI, SSRS, Excel, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Transform transactional data from company systems into structured datasets and data models for reporting and analytics.
• Design and maintain reporting tables, views, transformations, measures, calculations, and other data structures for trusted information.
• Develop reporting that supports organization-wide performance measurement and drill-down to operations, customers, locations, departments, etc.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data models, measures, reports, and dashboards.
• Promote self-service analytics by providing understandable, documented datasets for Excel and Power BI.
• Coach users and leaders on interpreting data and using reports for day-to-day decisions.
• Develop testing/validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports and datasets.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues with IT and business users.
