Job summary

KPMG LLP in Nashville is seeking an Audit Intern to join our Audit and Assurance team. You will work with a team to conduct financial statement audits, support risk assessment, and learn to prepare audit documentation and insights using data tools.

This internship fosters growth, collaboration, and hands-on experience in a professional services environment. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a college/university program, pursuing CPA licensure, and have completed at least one accounting course

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university.
• Pursuing CPA licensure in the principal place of business state.
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Coursework in information systems, software engineering, CS or data analytics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting financial statement audits and support capital markets clients.
• Prepare audit documentation and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Assist in testing client controls and account balances under guidance.
• Support data-driven audit using AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI.
