Job summary

KPMG is seeking an Audit Associate to join the Audit and Assurance team. You will work as part of a team to conduct financial statement audits for capital markets clients, focusing on accuracy, independence, and high professional standards.

Responsibilities include documenting client processes and IT controls, executing control testing, and using data analytics tools such as Alteryx and Power BI to support risk assessment and audit efficiency. This is an in-person role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor of Accountancy or Master of Accountancy within the last 12 months.
• Pursuing state CPA education requirements in the principal office state.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Experience with data analysis tools (Alteryx/Power BI) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting financial statement audits for capital markets clients.
• Prepare audit documentation explaining client processes and IT controls.
• Test client controls and account balances with appropriate standards; identify misstatements.
• Support audit quality through data-driven approaches and technology tools.
