Job summary

Foot Locker, Inc. in New York, NY seeks a data-driven Allocation Systems & Strategy Analyst to optimize inventory flow and allocation strategies. You will craft data-backed recommendations using SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel while partnering with the Business Insights team.

The role requires 2+ years in allocation or analytics, a bachelor’s degree, and strong cross-functional collaboration. Hybrid work schedule with 3 in-office days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Supply Chain, or Finance.
• 2+ years in allocation, inventory management, planning, or related analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling).
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform ad hoc analysis and data extracts to support initiatives.
• Leverage SQL and data tools to manipulate large datasets.
• Develop prototype dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Translate data findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Validate outputs and reconcile discrepancies across systems.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and automate analyses.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities from sales and inventory data.
• Develop KPIs and reporting to optimize inventory deployment and forecast accuracy.
• Analyze SKU/Size/store performance to inform allocation strategies.
• Evaluate inventory productivity using sell-through and weeks of supply.
