  • Use joins, aggregations, subqueries, common table expressions, and window functions to analyze and transform data.
  • Troubleshoot SQL queries, data quality issues, and production job failures, escalating complex issues when appropriate.
  • Assist with query tuning and performance optimization for large datasets and recurring production workloads.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure datasets are accurate, complete, and reliable.
  • Partner with data developers, analysts, and data scientists to build datasets that support reporting and analytics.

  • Learn and apply data engineering standards, source-control practices, and production support procedures.
  • Collaborate with technical and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and analytical needs into data solutions.
  • In addition to delivering at the client site, you will occasionally be tasked in productizing Excelacom's work, contributing to our Center of Excellence and intermittently working on Excelacom proposals to the client.
Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn new technologies, follow technical standards, and work effectively with guidance from senior team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Strong math, written and verbal communication skills with an analytical approach
  • Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; Excelacom will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)
