The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years in data engineering/curation, strong SQL/Python, and hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and data governance.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, data development, or data curation.
• Advanced SQL and Python for building and optimizing data pipelines.
• Knowledge of modern data architecture: warehousing, orchestration, observability.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, APIs, relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with AI tools and intelligent automation, REST and SOAP integrations.

Job Title: Data Curator

Job Overview: Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Data Curator to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Remote contract opportunity based in Philadelphia, PA offers the chance to help shape and enhance enterprise data environments by developing scalable solutions that improve accessibility, reliability, and business insight. The selected candidate will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to support data driven decision making, modernize data processes, and strengthen information management practices. Success in this role requires a blend of data engineering expertise, analytical thinking, and collaboration across diverse teams.

Compensation: $50/hr

Work Schedule: Standard 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Data Curator:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data frameworks that support reporting, analytics, and operational needs across the organization.
• Deliver efficient data integration and transformation solutions by managing data flow between multiple platforms, databases, and external systems.
• Analyze existing processes and streamline workflows through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, security, and overall integrity of enterprise data assets while supporting governance objectives.
• Coordinate with cross functional partners to understand business requirements and provide scalable data solutions that enhance accessibility and usability.

Qualifications and Skills for the Data Curator:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, data development, data curation, or a closely related field, with experience in regulated industries preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, including experience building and optimizing data pipelines and transformation processes.
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture concepts such as orchestration, warehousing, observability, monitoring, data modeling, and data lifecycle management.
• Experience working with cloud based data platforms, API integrations, relational and non relational databases, streaming technologies, and enterprise data services.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools, intelligent automation solutions, and integration methods utilizing web service technologies such as REST and SOAP.
