Job summary

SoTalent is representing a leading organization in Houston, TX seeking a Master Data Specialist to ensure accuracy and integrity of enterprise data across multiple platforms.

You will manage the lifecycle of master data, including creation, modification, and validation for vendors, materials, and customers, collaborating with various departments to enforce governance standards and data consistency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in data analysis, validation, or related administrative field.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, though a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Strong familiarity with procurement, finance, sales, and supply chain.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SAP or similar Master Data Management software is highly desirable.
  • Experience in wholesale distribution or logistics is a significant plus.
  • Strong logical reasoning and basic statistical analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working independently and resolving problems with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.

  • Handle mass maintenance tasks for vendor and customer profiles while maintaining high quality standards.

  • Update and refine standard operating procedures and data governance rules.
  • Manage escalations by prioritizing urgent requests and rebalancing workloads.
  • Conduct data collection and validation projects to support business growth.
