Delan Associates, Inc. seeks a Data Conversion Validator Consultant (Senior/Expert) for a 12‑month engagement.

You will lead validation of data migration from PeopleSoft to Workday, refining crosswalks, mapping fields, and ensuring data integrity across systems. Responsibilities include reconciliation, exception logging, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with Budget teams and Workday consultants to certify readiness for go-live.

Qualifications

• Senior/Expert with 7+ years in data extraction and transformation for Budget/Finance.
• 84 months optimizing SQL queries, Application Engine, and SQR for data migration.
• 84 months mapping PeopleSoft data fields to Workday equivalents and resolving inconsistencies.
• 84 months implementing ETL tools and validating post-migration data quality.
• 84 months collaborating with functional teams and Workday consultants for seamless transition.
• 84 months documenting data/conversion processes and procedures.
• 84 months working with cross-functional technical teams including PeopleSoft, Workday, DBAs, and cybersecurity for identity management.

Responsibilities

• Perform record-by-record reconciliation, aggregate totals validation, and exception identification for the PeopleSoft-to-Workday migration.
• Refine data crosswalks showing PeopleSoft field equivalents, data type conversions, and Workday FDM integration points.
• Identify data quality issues, unmapped fields, transformation failures, and process deviations between legacy and target systems.
• Review and validate how PeopleSoft budget data integrates into Workday via Financial Data Model (FDM) per schema requirements.
• Document validation findings and remediation steps.
• Prepare detailed validation reports with exception logs, root-cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions for data issues.
• Work closely with other teams to identify and solve issues.
• Support UAT and sign-off activities; collaborate with Budget team to validate reconciliation results and certify readiness for go-live.

Project: Workday Implementation

Project Description: Data Conversion Validation to support Budget team during the migration of budgeting and commitment control data from PeopleSoft to Workday.

Day to day tasks to be performed by the Consultant

• Perform record-by-record reconciliation, aggregate totals validation, and exception identification to ensure no data loss or corruption during the PeopleSoft-to-Workday migration
• Refine data crosswalks showing PeopleSoft field equivalents, data type conversions, formula translations, and Workday FDM integration points
• Identify data quality issues, unmapped fields, transformation failures, and process deviations between legacy and target systems
• Review and validate how PeopleSoft budget data integrates into Workday via Financial Data Model, ensuring compliance with FDM schema requirements
• Document validation findings and remediation steps
• Prepare detailed validation reports with exception logs, root cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions for data issues
• Work closely with other teams to identify and solve issues
• Support UAT and sign-off activities & Collaborate with Budget team members and project stakeholders to validate reconciliation results and certify readiness for go-liv

• Senior/Expert (7) years) or more 84 months of experience developing and executing data extraction and transformation processes for Budget and Finance.
• 84 months of experience optimizing SQL queries, Application Engine, and SQR scripts for efficient data migration.
• 84 months of experience mapping PeopleSoft data fields to Workday equivalents and resolving inconsistencies.
• 84 months of experience implementing ETL tools and validating data accuracy post-migration.
• 84 months of experience collaborating with functional teams and Workday consultants for seamless transition.
• 84 months of experience developing and maintaining clear and consistent documentation for data and conversion processes and procedures.
• 84 months of experience working collaboratively with various technical teams (but not limited to) such as peoplesoft, workday, database administrators, cybersecurity analysts to ensure comprehensive identity management practices.
