Job summary

Kearney Electric is seeking a Data Communications Foreman in Arizona to lead field operations for structured-cabling and low-voltage systems within the Data Comm Division. This role provides hands-on leadership to field crews, ensuring safety, on-schedule work, and compliance with drawings and industry standards.

The Foreman coordinates manpower, materials, and workflow across data, voice, and fiber installations, reporting to project management while upholding Kearney Electric's Pathways to

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in progressive experience in low-voltage, data communications, or special systems installation.
• At least two years of experience in a lead or supervisory role
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical layouts, and building plans to plan installation and wiring routes.
• Experience in system programming, configuration, and software/firmware updates for multiple platforms.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure, switches, and structure cabling.

Responsibilities

• Develop labor strategies and installation plans with the Project Manager.
• Lead data communications crews and ensure safety and quality.
• Coordinate daily work assignments and maintain schedule integrity.
• Oversee installations of structured cabling, copper, fiber, wireless.
• Maintain documentation: manpower tracking, logs, safety records.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety meetings and enforce PPE.
