Position Overview
We are hiring a Data Collection Operator for a full-time direct-hire opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA.
The Data Collection Operator will be responsible for accurately collecting, validating, and processing data while providing a professional and positive participant experience. This role is ideal for someone with a background in customer service, operations, technical support, troubleshooting, or data collection who is detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain strict confidentiality, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and promptly elevate operational or participant concerns when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data collection activities in accordance with established SOPs and quality standards.
- Provide participants with a professional, welcoming, and customer-focused experience.
- Ensure data is accurate, complete, and properly processed.
- Follow all security, privacy, and confidentiality requirements when handling sensitive information.
- Monitor participant schedules and facilitate efficient participant transitions.
- Troubleshoot basic software, hardware, network, and Mac OS issues.
- Identify and promptly elevate technical, operational, safety, or participant concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Accurately document activities, incidents, and operational findings.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on processes.
- Complete required training and compliance activities within established timelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, Shift Leads, Program Leads, and client stakeholders.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality and adhere to assigned schedules.
- Consistently follow written procedures and work instructions.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:
- Customer Service
- Operations
- Technical Support
- Troubleshooting
- Data Collection
- Research or related fields
- Experience diagnosing and resolving basic software and hardware issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain professional and customer-focused under pressure.
- Strong reliability, attendance, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work instructions consistently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Mac OS environment.
- Previous experience in data collection, research, laboratory, or technology-related operations.

- Technical troubleshooting experience involving hardware, software, or network connectivity.
