Job summary

Onnec is seeking a part-time iMAC Data Centre Engineer to support the Data Centre Operations team across client sites in New York. The role focuses on cabling, hardware deployment, and asset management, with responsibility for security escorting and site readiness.

The position requires experience in data cabling, moves/adds/changes, and familiarity with ServiceNow and DCIM tools. It is an on-call, ad hoc role with variable hours driven by project activity.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in Voice and Data Cabling environment.
• Experience with Moves Adds and Changes.
• Thorough understanding of modern computer network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor tickets and ensure SLA adherence.
• Audit and document cabling installations and desktop configurations.
• Build, Rack and Stack server hardware and provide connectivity.
• Perform data wiping and patching activities.
• Maintain asset records and update DCIM systems.
