Job summary

Daksta is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee data centre construction from planning through delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams of architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to meet objectives while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key duties include developing detailed plans and budgets, managing procurement, conducting site inspections, tracking milestones, and providing regular updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, preferably in data centre construction or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of project and construction management principles, electrical systems, and design processes.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of data centre construction projects, from initial planning and design to final delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve project challenges and risks effectively.
• Oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage procurement processes, including sourcing materials and negotiating contracts with vendors.
• Lead project meetings, facilitate communication among team members, and address any issues that arise.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
