Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a seasoned leader to drive turnover, startup, energization, and commissioning for its AI Data Center (AIDC) portfolio. You will steer system-based execution, define readiness milestones, and coordinate across Construction, Engineering, OEMs, and client stakeholders.

You will champion digital workflows, oversee system walkdowns, testing, and commissioning documentation while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence across dispersed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in construction completion, turnover, startup, commissioning, or related roles on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong understanding of systems-based turnover, startup, energization, and commissioning processes.
• Experience reading drawings (SLDs, P&IDs), control documentation, and equipment layouts.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project locations as required.
• OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AIDC turnover, startup, and commissioning strategies, standards, and execution plans across projects and regions.
• Lead systemization, boundary development, turnover sequencing, and commissioning readiness planning in alignment with schedules.
• Provide leadership for construction completion, walkdowns, punchlists, testing, startup, energization, and integrated systems testing.
• Establish readiness criteria and stage-gate requirements through turnover, startup, and client acceptance.
• Coordinate activities among Construction, Field Quality, Engineering, OEMs, trade partners, commissioning teams, and clients.
