Job summary

Dell Technologies Inc. in Santa Clara, CA invites a Technical Staff, Data Center Thermal Architect to lead end-to-end IT and data center cooling architectures. You will define power and cooling topologies for AI workloads and collaborate with suppliers, ODMs and engineering to shape the product roadmap.

Based in our advanced technology pod, you’ll push efficiency, scale, and performance, balancing cost with cutting-edge cooling solutions while partnering with AI customers to optimize deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with customers on architectural and design requirements spanning IT Systems to Datacenter Thermal technologies.
• Advanced working knowledge of heat transfer and the ability to analyze component/system level problems and apply advanced cooling technologies.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of data center power and thermal management components and suppliers.
• Ability to collaborate with Dell's technology partners and supply base on cutting edge technology development and work with ODMs on mechanical, thermal & electrical aspects of system design.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end architecture of server to data center solutions, including air and liquid cooled servers, rack solutions, power distribution and heat rejection.
• Innovate power-centric IT cooling solutions for dense environments.
• Optimize cost, energy efficiency and performance from IT to the data center.
• Engage with AI customers to optimize solutions and tune systems for performance.
• Develop solution overviews and validate with Engineering; propose BOM/SKUs with Engineering and shape offers.
