Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy for AIS's Division 27 workforce solutions.
  • Identify upcoming data center, telecommunications, and low-voltage construction projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with telecom contractors, low-voltage contractors, general contractors, and data center construction companies.
  • Prospect for new customers through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, referrals, industry events, LinkedIn, and existing relationships.
  • Develop a consistent pipeline of qualified Division 27 opportunities.
  • Schedule and conduct customer meetings and presentations.
  • Understand customer project requirements, manpower needs, project schedules, and labor challenges.
  • Develop customized workforce solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, and sales presentations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and assist in closing new accounts.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional projects.
  • Maintain regular communication with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
  • Work closely with AIS Recruiting and Operations to ensure customer commitments can be fulfilled.

Position Overview

Archetype Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) is seeking an experienced Division 27 Telecommunications Business Development Manager to lead business development and revenue growth within the data center telecommunications and low-voltage construction market.

This position is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with telecommunications contractors, structured cabling contractors, low-voltage contractors, general contractors, data center developers, construction managers, and other infrastructure companies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Division 27 construction scopes, an established network of industry relationships, and a proven ability to generate new business.

This is a highly entrepreneurial sales position for someone who can open doors, develop relationships, identify upcoming projects, and turn those relationships into recurring workforce opportunities for AIS.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales

The Business Development Manager will focus on selling workforce solutions supporting scopes such as:

  • Fiber testing and certification
  • Copper cabling
  • Data center cable pulling
  • Cable management
  • Telecommunications installation
  • Low-voltage installation
  • Network infrastructure
  • ISP infrastructure
  • OSP infrastructure
  • MDF/IDF installation
  • Backbone cabling
  • Pathways and telecommunications infrastructure
  • Ladder rack and cable tray installation
  • Data center connectivity
  • Other Division 27 telecommunications scopes
Data Center Business Development

A major focus of this position will be expanding AIS's presence within the rapidly growing data center construction market.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying new and upcoming data center construction projects.
  • Building relationships with contractors before major labor requirements arise.
  • Developing relationships with project executives, procurement teams, construction managers, project managers, and operations leadership.
  • Understanding project phases and anticipated workforce requirements.
  • Positioning AIS as a preferred workforce partner for telecommunications and structured cabling work.
  • Developing repeat business across multiple projects and geographic markets.
  • Tracking industry activity and identifying new market opportunities.
Customer Development

The successful candidate will be expected to build relationships with companies such as:

  • Telecommunications contractors
  • Structured cabling contractors
  • Low-voltage contractors
  • Electrical contractors with telecommunications divisions
  • General contractors
  • Data center contractors
  • Engineering and construction firms
  • Infrastructure subcontractors
  • Data center developers and operators

The ability to develop relationships at both the executive and project level is critical.
