Reboot Monkey in Cincinnati seeks a Data Center Technician to support critical infrastructure on-site. You will install and maintain server and network equipment, perform cabling, and manage hardware deployments in a freelance, on-site capacity.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in data center operations, strong troubleshooting, and solid documentation abilities. Certifications such as CDCP/CDCS/CDCE and vendor credentials are preferred to ensure reliable performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Knowledge of Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber cabling.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
• Experience with rack and stack operations.
• Understanding of power distribution and UPS systems.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

$60,000-75,000/year (USD annual)

Work Schedule
