Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our on-site team in Franklin, United States. This freelance, permanent on-site role supports critical infrastructure at world-class facilities and offers a compensation range of $60,000 to $75,000 per year.

The role requires 3+ years in data center operations, strong cabling and deployment skills, and knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems. Certifications from CDCP/CDCS/CDCE or vendor programs are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience.
• Experience with server, network, and cabling installations.
• Knowledge of power and cooling infrastructure is required.
• Certifications are preferred (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE; Dell, HPE, Cisco).
• Vendor certifications and ITIL familiarity are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.

Work Schedule

• Freelance permanent position
• Standard business hours with on-call rotation
• Shift differentials for nights/weekends when applicable

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments
