Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Data Center Technician to join its IT Infrastructure team and support mission-critical systems across multiple facilities. You will deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot data center hardware, networks, HVAC, and power infrastructure.

The role requires a high school diploma, hands-on data center experience with enterprise-grade IT hardware, and an active Top Secret/SCI or DOE Level Q clearance along with U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and resolve networking, compute, and rack power distribution infrastructure incidents across multiple data centers
• Manage complete lifecycle for data center hardware including selection, deployment, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning
• Physically rack, cable, and organize data center equipment with quality assurance testing
• Establish, schedule, and track preventative maintenance procedures while maintaining comprehensive documentation
• Monitor environmental conditions and power/cooling systems; collect performance data for reporting and continuous improvement

What You Need

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• Professional experience working in a data center environment or with enterprise-grade IT hardware
• Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q security clearance
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status (ITAR requirement)

Nice to Have

• Certifications related to IT infrastructure such as CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CDCMP
• Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools for monitoring and managing data center utilization
• Strong Linux skills including directory navigation, file manipulation in shell, user permissions, package management, filesystem types, process management, troubleshooting, and Bash or other scripting
• Experience with server management tools such as HPE iLO, Cisco CIMC, and Dell iDRAC
• Power and data center cooling capacity planning experience; ability to respond to after-hours incidents

Hourly pay: Level 1: $34.00-$40.00, Level 2: $38.00-$44.00, Level 3: $42.00-$50.00. Base salary plus potential long-term incentives in stock or cash, discretionary bonuses, and employee stock purchase plan.
