Job summary

Lightedge is seeking a Data Center Technician in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves supporting the daily management of building systems and infrastructure at Lightedge facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting data center equipment, installing servers, and maintaining operational efficiency in a 24X7 environment.

Candidates must have a minimum of a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience, as well as knowledge of network cabling and data center operations. Strong communication skills are essential. The position requires night shifts from 9:00 pm to 9:00 am.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year technical degree or 1-4 years equivalent technical experience.
• Experience with Ethernet, CAT6, and Fiber network cabling.
• Understanding of data center cooling systems and airflow management.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot data center equipment problems.
• Install servers and networking equipment in racks.
• Respond to alarm events affecting infrastructure and services.
• Maintain operational efficiencies of 24X7 facilities.
