Job summary

Serverfarm is seeking an on-site Operations Leader for Clarksville to oversee safety, reliability, and performance of critical electrical and mechanical systems. You will guide shifts, manage alarms, and ensure compliant maintenance of UPS, gensets, and cooling infrastructure.

With 5+ years in data centers, you will mentor technicians, review procedures, and coordinate with vendors to sustain high availability in a rapidly expanding global footprint.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in MEP and data center/mission-critical ops.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and OEM documentation.
• 5+ years in data center or mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical resource during assigned shifts.
• Monitor electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems.
• Lead response to alarms, events, and abnormal conditions.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs and validate system performance.
• Lead shift turnovers and status communications.
• Operate and maintain UPS, generators, switchgear, ATS/STS, PDUs, and RPPs.
• Operate and support chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, and valves.
• Execute system switching, load transfers, and isolations per procedures.
• Identify system deficiencies and single points of failure.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Review, validate, and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs.
• Participate in change management and risk assessments.
• Oversee vendor activities and verify post-maintenance restoration.

Key Accountabilities

Operations Leadership & Monitoring

• Serve as the senior technical resource during assigned shifts

• Support qualification programs and skill assessments

• Enforce LOTO, electrical safety, arc-flash, and PPE requirements

• Maintain and review operational logs and maintenance records
• Contribute to procedures and technical documentation

Training, Mentorship & Development

• Mentor junior technicians and new hires
• Support qualification programs and skill assessments

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on MEP experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in data center or mission-critical operations
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and OEM documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Data Center specific experience
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in technical field
• Industry or OEM certifications
• Experience with BMS, EPMS, DCIM, and CMMS platforms
• Prior leadership or acting-lead experience
