Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Technician in Texas to support a large technology client. The role involves preparing, staging, and deploying racks, switches, and servers, with emphasis on hardware handling and reliability.

You will perform startup/shutdown activities, verify grounding and cabling, and troubleshoot issues as part of a team. Candidates should have 1–3 years of data center experience, an associate degree or equivalent training, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent training in a technical field.
• 1–3 years of data center technician experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with rack/stack servers and GPU installation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support IT equipment in a data center.
• Assemble, stage, install and startups/shutdowns of racks, switches, and drives.
• Follow safety, deployment, and network design procedures.
• Document incidents and escalate to leads as needed.
