Job summary

Delta System & Software, Inc. is seeking experienced Data Center Technicians to support large-scale data center deployment and operations. You will perform rack and stack installations, manage structured cabling, and ensure proper airflow and labeling.

Responsibilities include hardware deployment, asset management, MACs, and adherence to safety standards. Collaboration with engineering teams is essential to ensure successful deployments and migrations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on data center experience performing rack and stack activities.
• Strong understanding of server and network rack layouts.
• Structured cabling (fiber and copper) knowledge.
• Experience with PDUs and power distribution in data centers.
• Experience installing enterprise server platforms such as Dell or Supermicro.
• Ability to read rack elevation diagrams and deployment documents.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working within rack environments.
• Knowledge of ESD procedures and safe handling of sensitive equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to documented procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform rack, stack, and cabling installations for servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems.
• Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and maintain proper airflow and cable management.
• Connect and validate power, fiber, and copper network cabling.
• Support hardware moves, adds, and changes (MACs) in the data center.
• Follow deployment runbooks and engineering documentation.
• Perform basic hardware validation, LED checks, and physical troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory, labeling, and deployment documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and network teams during deployments, migrations, and projects.
• Adhere to ESD, safety, and security requirements; assist with decommissioning hardware.
