Job summary

You will perform Remote Hands & Smart Hands tasks, rack installation, cable management, diagnostics, and client access coordination; a background in data center infrastructure and strong English communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps).

• Manage cross-connects and patch panels.
• Troubleshoot hardware and run diagnostics.
• Perform visual inspections and inventory audits.
• Escort and coordinate access for client visits.
• Be on-call for emergency response.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Caguas, Puerto Rico to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)
• Server rack installation and decommissioning
• Cross-connect and patch panel management
• Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Visual inspections and inventory audits
• Escort and access coordination for client visits
• Emergency response and on-call availability

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers
• Strong communication skills in English

  Nice to Have

  • Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
  • Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)
  • Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)
